SAN DIEGO-Trigild has named Fernando R. Landa as its general counsel as the San Diego-based company continues its expansion in receivership, distressed property management and loan recovery. In what is a newly created position at Trigild, Landa will provide legal and strategic expertise to the company’s management—developing and negotiating commercial contracts and leases, serving as receiver and representing the company in court hearings. Additionally, he will advise on corporate matters.

Trigild president and CEO Bill Hoffman says that Landa’s appointment is a result of the increasing need for receivership services. Landa was previously an attorney with Hecht Solberg Robinson Goldberg & Bagley LLP, a San Diego real estate law firm, where he was involved in the acquisition, development, financing, leasing and disposition of commercial real estate assets.

A LEED-accredited professional, he was also an associate with London Group Realty Advisors, providing strategic consulting services and financial analysis for real estate developments and investments throughout the Southwestern US and Mexico; a consultant for Pacific Equity Partners LLC; as well as a public policy analyst with San Diego Regional Economic Development Corp.

Headquartered in San Diego with regional offices throughout the country, Trigild specializes in turnaround management and repositioning of troubled properties. As reported on GlobeSt.com recently, the company recently added three million square feet of new receivership assignments in California and four other states.
