LOS ANGELES-Hager Pacific Properties has added Jason Schirn as aprincipal who will be responsible for identifying value-addedopportunities for industrial properties and supervising therepositioning of the assets for the investment firm. Rob Neal, amanaging partner with Hager Pacific, notes that Schirn has beenworking with the company since the fall of 2009 to acquire severalSouthern California industrial properties. Similar to mosttransactions completed by Hager Pacific, these deals were closedquickly and without a financing contingency, Neal points out.

Schirn commented, "In 2009, when the real estate market wastruly paralyzed, Hager Pacific demonstrated its financial strengthand long-term commitment to the Southern California industrial realestate market by closing deals when there were few otherbuyers."

Schirn began his real estate career in 2001 with Hager Pacific,where the firm’s three partners taught him the company’s investmentapproach. From 2003 to 2008, he was vice president at ProficiencyCapital, where he developed and renovated industrial properties. Intotal, Schirn he has been involved in the acquisition of more than$100 million of industrial real estate in Southern Californiaduring his career. Before his real estate career, Schirn producedESPN’s Cable Emmy Award winning program Up Close Prime Time withRoy Firestone.
