LOS ANGELES-Frank J.H. Schulz III, an industrial broker with the Klabin Co./Corfac International’s Torrance office, has been installed as the 87th president of the Los Angeles Transportation Club. The club is widely regarded as Southern California’s premier resource for transportation professionals.

The LATC was incorporated in 1924 as a non-profit corporation dedicated to providing transportation professionals, shippers and suppliers a forum to foster relationships, share ideas and solutions as well as promote the contributions that the industry offers to global commerce. Joining Schulz as 2011 officers of LATC are Tony Williamson, Total Transportation Services Inc., first vice president; John Wales, Crossroads Equipment Lease & Finance, second vice president; Rolina Flint, Southern Counties Express, secretary; Katrina Gunderson, Hawaiian Ocean Transport, treasurer/CFO, and Michael Birditt of Heitz Trucking, sergeant-at-arms.

In addition to his LATC leadership post, Schulz currently serves on the board of directors for the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors and is a member of Corfac International. In addition to its professional services, LATC has, over the years, raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for various charities, including the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Habitat for Humanity, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles, City of Hope, and Ronald McDonald House, as well as offering scholarships to hundreds of young people.
