The Point in Rancho Bernardo

SAN DIEGO-Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. has signed a $9 million, 65-month lease for the entire 93,161 square feet of class A office space in at the Point in Rancho Bernardo, a property in Rancho Bernardo that is owned by institutional investors advised by Prudential Real Estate Investors. It is one of a number of significant office deals in San Diego County to be signed recently, including deals that pushed occupancy to 100% at another office project.

Northrop Grumman’s space is at 16765 W. Bernardo Dr., according to Brian Driscoll of Cassidy Turley BRE Commercial, who represented the building ownership. The transaction represents one of the largest lease deals in Rancho Bernardo this year,” Driscoll said. PREI was also represented by Tony Russell of Jones Lang La Salle, with Northrop Grumman represented by Tom Martinez of CB Richard Ellis.

5405 Morehouse Dr.

The building that hit 100% occupancy is the 48,404-square-foot 5405 Morehouse Plaza in Sorrento Mesa, according to associate director Christopher High of Cushman & Wakefield, who was one of the listing agents for the property. The office project is managed by Janez Properties, headed by president John Kocmur. High reports that within the last nine months, more than 18,000 square feet in new leases have been signed at 5405 Morehouse.

New lease transactions at the property include: Zeebo, a San Diego-based consumer electronics company, signed a lease for 7,129 square feet and was represented by Darren Morgan of Cushman & Wakefield. High, Jeff Oesterblad and Eric Northbrook, also of Cushman & Wakefield, represented Janez Properties in all of the leases.

STEC, Inc., a provider of solid state technology and solutions to serve the high performance and reliability needs of original equipment manufacturers, signed leases totaling 6,495 square feet and was represented by David Hazan of AWS.

High Street Partners, a financial and administrative services company which provides strategies for efficient international expansions, signed a lease for 2,459 square feet and was represented by Derek Hulse of Colliers International.

Island Pacific Solutions, a global provider of merchandising and store operations software solutions to the retail industry, signed a lease for 2,064 square feet and was represented by Nick Bonner of CB Richard Ellis.
