MIAMI-Miami Art Museum starts construction of its facility at Museum Park, next to the future Miami Science Museum in Downtown Miami. Herzog & de Meuron is the designer of the new facility overlooking Biscayne Bay.
The new Miami Art Museum will contain a programmable space measuring 200,000 square feet. The facility will have an educational complex with an auditorium, workshop space, library, classrooms, museum store and a cafe. The budget for the total construction of the project is $131 million.
