MIAMI-Miami Art Museum starts construction of its facility atMuseum Park, next to the future Miami Science Museum in DowntownMiami. Herzog & de Meuron is the designer of the new facilityoverlooking Biscayne Bay.
The new Miami Art Museum will contain a programmable spacemeasuring 200,000 square feet. The facility will have aneducational complex with an auditorium, workshop space, library,classrooms, museum store and a cafe. The budget for the totalconstruction of the project is $131 million.
