TOLLESON, AZ-UPS Mail Innovations has opened a new processingcenter in suburban Phoenix. The 30,000-square-foot facility willimprove service to companies in Arizona and New Mexico that rely onUPS to manage their outbound mail processing.

UPS Mail Innovations is the business mail services unit ofAtlanta-based UPS. It handles the pick-up, processing and sortingof its customers’ outbound mail pieces weighing less than one poundand applies postage before delivering the pieces to the U.S. PostalService for final delivery.

Customers include companies in the retail and pharmaceuticalindustries, among others. The Arizona facility will process about20,000 mail pieces daily for distribution to others parts of thecountry and also deliver about 28,000 already-processed mail piecesdaily to nearby Postal Service facilities for final delivery.
