NEW YORK CITY-The Children's Aid Society is planning to leave Greenwich Village. The charity, which was occupying space in the Philip Coltoff Center building since 1892, is putting its two buildings at Sullivan Street for sale.
The organization has decided to close all programs in Greenwich Village. It will reinvest the amount received from the sale of the buildings to serve more destitute areas including the South Bronx and Harlem areas.
