BOSTON-The Federal Bureau of Investigation is planning to shift its office from Boston to Chelsea. The General Services Administration, which handles the property matters for government agencies, has selected a vacant land situated on Maple Street near the Route 1 viaduct and the Wyndham Hotel.
The GSA has not concluded a lease on the Chelsea Land. The size and architecture of the new facility have not been disclosed. However, realty experts familiar with the transaction said that the FBI needs a facility of up to 250,000 square feet. For the full story, go to Boston Globe.
