SAN DIEGO-Construction has started on the new hospital project, Naval Hospital at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. The new hospital will sit on a 70-acre land situated north of Oceanside.
A joint venture of McCarthy Building Cos. Inc., HKS Inc. and Clark Construction Group has initiated the construction. The 500,000-square-foot hospital will include inpatient medical facilities, primary care, emergency care, ancillary departments, specialty care clinics, space for non-ambulatory patients, a central utilities plant and a 1,500-space parking lot.
