NEW YORK CITY-Leaders of St. Nicholas Church have filed a legal claim against the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey demanding that the church, destroyed on Sept. 11, 2001 due to falling debris, be rebuilt under the deal signed years ago.
The church and the agency signed agreement in 2008 to rebuild the church located on Cedar Street, and that the agency would pay $20 million for the construction. However, the deal fell apart in March. For the full story, go to Wall Street Journal.
