CARLSBAD, CA-Shapell Homes of Beverly Hills has acquired the200-acre western portion of the Robertson Ranch master-plannedproject, a move that marks Shapell’s return to the San Diegomarket. The property is one of the last approved master-planneddevelopment opportunities remaining in north San Diego County.

Located off El Camino Real and Cannon Road, the future communityhas city master plan approval for approximately 680 single-familyand multifamily residences, along with a neighborhood-servingretail center. Approximately half of the property has been setaside for open space and recreation.

According to Shapell Homes CEO Matt Koart, Shapell bought the200 acres from long-standing Carlsbad landowner the Robertsonfamily. The property represents the remaining balance of thecommunity. The original master plan approval was secured in 2006and the eastern portion of the property is currently underdevelopment.
