NEW YORK CITY-Brokerage firm Newedge USA LLC is staying in its 88,644-square-foot space at 630 Fifth Ave., a Rockefeller Center office tower also known as the International Building. The derivatives and securities firm reached an agreement to renew 62,777 square feet and make its leases coterminous. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Cushman & Wakefield vice chairman Jonathan Serko and senior director Barry Zeller advised Newedge in the renewal renegotiations. Landlord Tishman Speyer Properties was represented in-house.
Serko says in a release that Newedge enjoys “a solid relationship with the landlord” based on its existing tenancy at 630 Fifth. “That, combined with the professional management, internationally recognized address and central Midtown location, played an important role in the lease renewal.” Zeller says the “sizeable” renewal validates the services and amenities for which the property has long been known.
The 41-story 630 Fifth is part of the landmarked section of Rockefeller Center. Originally opened in 1935, the property encompasses approximately 948,572 square feet. Along with Newedge, other leading tenants include Infosys, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, Key Bank and the Rhone Group.
