ORANGE COUNTY, CA-Tustin is planning to invite bids for extending the Tustin Ranch Road through the center of the former Marine base of the city.
The plan is aimed at triggering more interest from developers to revive the development of the 820-acre Legacy Park project, which comprises more than 50% of the Marine base. The bond sale for the road extension is estimated to raise about $40 million. Commercial development in the vicinity of the base is also being contemplated.
