BOSTON-A proposal to construct an apartment building in Belmont fuels danger in neighboring Cambridge. At a hearing on the Belmont Uplands development project, which amounts to $70 million, Cambridge city councilors restated their assurance to delay the proposal to have the building hook into the sewer system of the city.

The 300-unit development proposed by Pennsylvania-based O'Neill Development will sit on the site surrounded by Alewife Brook Reservation. Opponents have decided to try a court injunction if the town issues a building permit. For the full story, go to Boston Globe.
