SANTA MONICA, CA-The 1548@ Luxe, an apartment project by developer NMS Properties that opened in October, has filled all 50 of its units at rents that start at $2,500 and cap at $5,200 for penthouses, according to Jim Andersen, chief operating officer of NMS. The development is one of 40 multifamily projects totaling 1,400 units in the metropolitan Los Angeles area that NMS owns.

The six-story building is composed of 50 one- and two-bedroom apartments ranging from 625 square feet to 1,100 square feet. It was designed for NMS by Killefer Flammang Architects and is composed of three towers at 1548 Sixth St. above 950 square feet of retail space on the ground level.

Recesses between the towers denote the main entry at the ground floor, one for the residents and the other for the retail area, noted project architect Lise Bornstein. The front portion of the ground floor is designed as a two-story space to provide greater prominence to the retail space, which is showcased with 15-foot storefront windows, Bornstein added.
