NEW YORK CITY-A hotel project, which is almost complete in Long Island City, has upset residents. Developer Steven Bahar is speeding up the construction work of the SilverCup Hotel, a nine-story tower situated on 39th Avenue.

Residents, who are upset with the progress of construction, have said work has turned into a public nuisance. Gerald Walsh of the Dutch Kills Civic Association has said that the construction work took place during nights, holidays and weekends in spite of stop-work order.
