SAN FRANCISCO-The Contra Costa Times has reported that the former headquarters site of Longs Drugs may be converted into a 300-unit apartment complex. Urban Housing Group, which has offices in Irvine and Palo Alto, has proposed a plan to replace the former headquarters measuring 40,000 square feet in Walnut Creek with 300 units.

The size of the proposed units will range from 674 to 1,049 square feet. The Walnut Creek site, zoned for offices, may also be used for multifamily purposes. For the full story, go to San Francisco Business Times.
