NEW YORK CITY-Bruce Mosler and Arthur Mirante, both former CEOs at Cushman & Wakefield, are launching a brokerage team within C&W that’s expected to leverage the company’s full-service approach and broad geographic platform. The move comes as Mosler is appointed chairman of global brokerage at C&W.
The New York-based team will also include executive director David Rosenbloom and several other C&W professionals. Jim Underhill, C&W’s Americas CEO, says in a release, “As former industry leaders with a combined 30-years of experience at the helm of Cushman & Wakefield, the company is offering clients something different at the brokerage level in the way of executive level experience in order to advise clients on complex transactions and portfolio decisions. With Bruce and Arthur working alongside our 35-plus Vice Chairmen and EVPs in New York who are already considered the best of the best, we expect to gain a significant increase in market share in the near term and a dominant share long-term.”
Over the past six months alone, Mosler and Mirante completed a combined 1.5 million square feet of office leasing assignments on behalf of landlords in the New York metro region. The tally increases to more than two million square feet over the past nine months; Mosler and Mirante have also been engaged on major leasing assignments in California and Florida.
On the tenant rep side, both were involved in 2010 transactions for more than 150,000 square fee. Mosler played an advisory role with Lee Feld of Feld Real Estate LLC in the 360,000-square-foot lease for OmniCom BBDO at 1285 Ave. of the Americas, and Mirante took the lead on the 162,000-square-foot headquarters relocation for the nonprofit GMHC to 450 W. 33rd St.
