NEW YORK CITY-A plan to transform a piece of land in Brooklyn into a retail center and car dealership has attracted considerable criticism from conservation groups in the area.

While some local conservation groups have voiced concern of the possible environmental impact of the project, local community board members are supportive of building a new retail center on Four Sparrow Marsh.
