NEW YORK CITY-The Grand Hyatt hotel located at 42nd Street is undergoing a renovation. Hyatt expects that the $130 million renovation will allow higher hotel rates.
Hyatt has bought Locust Valley, NY-based Bentel & Bentel to redesign public spaces of the hotel, and Looney & Associates to redesign over 1,300 guest rooms. According to Hyatt, the primary goal of the renovation is to bring the hotel to a level of a brand. The Manhattan hotel contains 138 room configurations.
