NEW YORK CITY-William Friedland Co. has signed a contract to buy a ground-floor retail space measuring 14,875 square feet as well as a basement storage space at The Apthorp, a troubled condo conversion in Upper West Side, for $37 million. The company has agreed to buy the retail condo from the sponsors of the building.
