BOSTON-Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc., a drug maker, is planning to move into the Seaport District. The company has inked a letter of intent to move its headquarters to the Fan Pier complex from Cambridge in late 2013.
The development, which sits on a 23-acre site, has currently only one tower, but it will have eight additional buildings. Vertex will occupy nearly 1.1 million square feet in two buildings at Fan Pier. Terms of the lease deal were not disclosed. For the full story, go to Boston Globe.
