SAN FRANCISCO-Alameda County officials have cleared a final barrier for the Staples Ranch development. Pleasanton's expansion of over 162 acres on the Eastern end has been approved.
The approval has settled a disagreement over the enlargement of Stoneridge Drive. The Staples Ranch project will include an auto mall, an ice-skating facility, a 45-acre senior-living community, retail and parks just west of El Charro Road and south of Interstate 580. The project was approved late last year by the city of Pleasanton. For the full story, go to San Francisco Business Times.
