NEW YORK CITY-A local supermarket union will start an operation to bring ShopRite's store measuring 100,000 square feet to the Brooklyn retail center. Walmart is also eying for the same site for its first store in the New York City.
United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1500 will claim that the wages and benefits offered by ShopRite outstrip Walmart.
