LONDON-Guy Douetil has been hired by Colliers International to lead corporate solutions across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. Douetil was formerly head of new business development and strategic account manager at Cushman & Wakefield.
Chris McLernon, CEO of Colliers EMEA, sais expanding the company’s corporate solutions capabilities is one of the firm’s top priorities for the region. The company’s 10 EMEA hubs include London, Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Amsterdam, Zurich, Prague, Milan, Moscow and Madrid, and McLernon says he wants to implement one consolidated platform, with help from Douetil.
McLernon tells GlobeSt.com that Europe is overall on the rebound, although there are different levels of recovery. “In ‘new’ Europe, Poland continues to lead the way followed by the Czech Republic and Russia. The further south and east, the weaker the recovery. Investment volumes have doubled in 2010 over 2009, for example Bucharest saw a $135 million deal at the end of 2010, the first such large deal since 2006,” he says.
Colliers’ international corporate solution clients include Vodafone, Kraft Foods, Cummins, Delphi, HRG Worldwide and Applied Materials. A Cushman & Wakefield spokeswoman did not return a request for comment about Douetil’s departure.
