SAN FRANCISCO-Apple is planning to demolish the former Liddicoat's building situated at 340 University Ave. in downtown Palo Alto and construct a showcase store there. The new Apple Store would be closer to the company's existing store at 451 University Ave.
The former Liddicoat's grocery will be replaced with a building spanning 16,600 square feet. Steven Turner, planning manager of Palo Alto, said that project was approved in January 2010 by the planning department. For the full story, go to Oakland Tribune.
