POMONA, CA-Marketing firm Vertis Communications Inc. has leased a 144,542-square-foot industrial building here and has sold a 21,799-square-foot R&D building in Glendora, according to Voit Real Estate Services. The property that Vertis sold was at 511 W. Citrus Edge St. in Glendora; the leased space is at 3200 Pomona Blvd. in Pomona.
Vertis was represented in the sale by Frank Geraci, Walt Chenoweth, Patrick Wood and Juan Gutierrez of Voit’s Inland Empire office, which worked with Gil Hutzler at CB Richard Ellis in Baltimore to represent Vertis. The property sold for $2.2 million.
In addition, the Voit team worked with CBRE to represent Vertis as the lessee in the $1.9 million renewal of its three-year lease at 3200 Pomona Blvd. The landlord, TA Associates Realty, was represented by Colliers International.
The Voit team points out that it aided Vertis in its post-bankruptcy growth. “Our team worked closely with Vertis throughout the economic storm to help the company navigate each transaction in a way that is most beneficial to them,” said Chenoweth, EVP of Voit’s Inland Empire office. “For instance, we directed the company’s lease renewal six months before its expiration, reducing the rent significantly and locking in a low rate for an additional three years.”
