LONG ISLAND, NY-Chicago-based Hometown America Corp. has acquired a 328-lot property located near the Long Island Sound and the Hamptons. The company has purchased Thurm's Estates, a 101-acre community in Calverton, from Pittsford, NY-based Morgan Management LLC for $22 million or about $66,000 per lot.

Thurm's Estates is one of the largest manufactured home communities in eastern Long Island. Monthly rent at Thurm's Estates is about $550. The new owner has renamed the community to Calverton Meadows.For the full story, go to Wall Street Journal.
