VICTORVILLE, CA-Three tenants have signed new leases totaling more than 66,000 square feet of office and industrial space at Stirling Capital Investments' 2,500-acre Southern California Logistics Centre to facilitate expansion plans. The deals include two new leases and one renewal.

DS Waters, a national distributor of bottled water products, signed a three-year lease for a 10,376-square-foot class A industrial facility for the warehousing and distribution of its Sparkletts brand bottled water throughout the high desert region. The facility is located at 18499 Phantom West within the Global Access Business Centre. Jeremy Schmidt and Rob Kurth with Lee & Associates Inland Empire North, Inc. represented DS Waters in the transaction. Stirling Capital Investments was represented in-house by Anita Tuckerman, who also represented both the tenant and Stirling in the two other leases.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University signed a one-year lease for 1,085 square feet of office space within the Global Access Business Center. The office, located at 18499 Phantom West, will provide additional space and upgraded technologies for Embry-Riddle’s nationally renowned aviation school as its enrollment continues to increase.

Southern California Aviation signed a three-year renewal for its 55,000-square-foot industrial facility at 13290 Sabre St. SCA, which is headquartered at Victorville’s Southern California Logistics Airport, will use this second facility for aircraft maintenance, storage and repairs.

Brian Parno, chief operating officer of Stirling Development, the managing partner of SCI, said the new leases are a sign that business operations throughout the region seem to be stabilizing and an improving economy has created a more positive outlook for the future. “This has led to an increase in leasing activity within SCLC for both office and industrial product as tenants look to grow their business and improve the quality of their facilities,” Parno said.

SCLC is master planned for 60 million square feet of commercial and industrial development and is in the midst of a 6.5 million-square-foot first phase. Almost three million square feet has been constructed to date.

SCLC and the City of Victorville are currently home to a number of leading multinational corporations including Newell Rubbermaid, Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Inc., General Electric, Pratt & Whitney, FedEx, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, M&M/Mars, ConAgra Foods and Nutro Products Inc.
