BETHESDA, MD-A JV of StonebridgeCarras and Walton Street Capital affiliates has acquired the 1.6-acre former Trillium site here for $29.2 million. The site is bounded by Wisconsin Avenue, Woodmont Road and Battery Lane. Originally, it had been planned as a residential condominium development.

The venture expects to create a new plan for mixed-use development, including residential and retail components, which should be ready for submission to the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission by early summer. Holliday Fenoglio Fowler LP represented the seller in this transaction. StonebridgeCarras, which developed the iconic Constitution Square project in NoMA, did not return a call to GlobeSt.com in time for publication.

Another development project that is getting under way is in NoMa. Mill Creek Residential Trust LLC is beginning construction on 603 residential units in the northern section of NoMa, after closing on financing with Berkshire Income Realty Inc. and PNC on March 8. They will break ground Monday on the development, which includes 603 apartments, 1,250 square feet of retail and 570 parking spaces. The site is located on Eckington Place, NE, just north of Harry Thomas Way, NE.
