ROSSLYN, VA-Tishman Speyer has acquired an office building here for slightly over $200 million, or more than $500 per square foot. The trade of 1300 N. 17th St. was leaked to the Wall Street Journal shortly after the deal closed as lenders and other bidders were informed of the result.

Tishman acquired the building from Beacon Capital Partners and Cassidy Turley brokered the transaction. Tishman and Cassidy Turley declined to comment to GlobeSt.com.

Rosslyn has been quite active in recent months, both in terms of investment sales and development. Skanska USA broke ground on an office building at 1776 Wilson Blvd. recently. Also, Tishman Speyer landed the Carlyle Group as a tenant in a long-term lease for approximately 70,000 square feet at Commonwealth Tower, also in Rosslyn. It will take occupancy by year-end 2011.
