SAN DIEGO-After more than 20 years of legal fight and revisions, construction work will start on the Mercado del Barrio development in the Barrio Logan neighborhood in San Diego. Shea Properties, the master developer, and the redevelopment agency of the city have worked together to clear the way for the $80-million mixed-use development.
Construction on the 6.8-acre development, which includes a 92-unit apartment complex and a retail space, will start in the next few weeks and will be completed by late 2012.For the full story, go to San Diego Business Journal.
