CITY OF COMMERCE, CA-Industry veteran Kurt Strasmann has joined CB Richard Ellis in a newly created position to head the company's industrial practice in Greater L.A. as well as leading the office here. Strasmann, who joins CBRE as a senior managing director, comes to CBRE from Voit Real Estate Services, where he was a managing director. Before that, he spent 24 years with Grubb & Ellis, where he oversaw that firm’s largest and most profitable region nationally. Before his role in management, he was one of Grubb and Ellis’s top producing industrial brokers nationally.

Lew Horne, executive managing director for CBRE’s Greater Los Angeles/Orange Coumnty Region, noted that Strasmann will be leading an industrial group of more than 140 professionals in Los Angeles, the Inland Empire and Orange County. Strasmann, in a CBRE announcement of his move, commented, “Throughout my career, CBRE has always been the firm to beat in the industrial space, and they’ve continued to get stronger as the company has built its integrated services platform around client needs.”

Strasmann is an active board member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, a member of the American Industrial Real Estate Association and a member of the Pacific Club in Newport Beach, CA. Voit declined to comment on Strasmann's move.
