SACRAMENTO-Voit Real Estate Services has expanded its office here with the addition of a new retail brokerage team, headed by Jason Gallelli. The Gallelli Retail Team previously was with Colliers International, where it was a top producer for each of the past five years.

The Gallelli team includes Gallelli, an executive vice president; vice president Kevin M. Soares; senior associates Jeff T. Hagan, Kurt C. Conley and Ellia C. Karres; associates Dustin A. Droen and Andrea M. Stirling; and executive marketing specialist Tara L. Davis.

Gallelli began his career as a property manager and asset manager overseeing more than 500,000 square feet of retail medical and office properties at Gallelli Real Estate. He next served as the regional real estate director for Northern California, Midwest and East Coast properties at Burnham Pacific Properties, where he was in charge of 23 properties totaling more than three million square feet of retail space.

Gallelli then became a founding partner of GT Retail Services, which grew to one of the most successful retail leasing companies in its region. The firm was sold to Colliers International, where Gallelli then worked for six years leading his team.

In its previous role with Colliers International, the Gallelli Retail Team represented more than 50 Northern California shopping centers, as well as representing more than 25 national retailers, such as Cinemark Theatres, Best Buy, TJX Cos., Costco, Sprouts Farmers Market, Chipotle, and Panera Bread.

Voit’s Sacramento managing director Kevin Sheehan commented that Gallelil's background in brokerage, asset management and the earlier formation of his own company is well-suited to the needs of Voit’s Sacramento office clients, including investors, banks and other financial institutions, and special servicers. The Sacramento office, which opened in May of 2010, houses asset services, property management, construction services and brokers in multiple specialties.

Randy Dixon, managing director of Colliers' Sacramento and Roseville offices, commented on Gallelli's move: “Although Jason will be missed, both personally and professionally, these types of personnel moves are not unusual in our industry. Colliers International will attract top industry talent and continue to grow and thrive in the Sacramento market, across the country, and around the world.”
