LONG BEACH, CA-Three area commercial real estate firms—Blair Commercial Real Estate Inc., Coldwell Banker Commercial R.E.A.G. and Coldwell Banker Commercial Westmac—have joined forces under the national Coldwell Commercial banner to expand their service and reach from Long Beach to North L.A. County. Coldwell Banker Commercial Westmac is based in Los Angeles, and the other two firms in Long Beach.
Officials of all three firms underscored that each will benefit from both the focused demographic and property sector expertise of the other, noting that the move is a “natural extension” of their own businesses. They added that the alliance will provide them increased regional and national impact via the Coldwell Banker brand.

McKeown
In their announcement of the alliance, Becky Blair, president and principal of 32-year-old Blair Commercial said: “The teaming of our companies not only creates a formidable force in the greater Long Beach market, but expands our brokerage services north along the 405 Freeway to Ventura. This alliance will also enable our clients to stay in the forefront of their industries." Blair said the new entity will be known as Coldwell Banker Commercial Blair Westmac. Blair Commercial is a firm of eight professionals focusing on small business office and retail properties in greater Long Beach.
Coldwell Banker commercial R.E.A.G is headed by John McKeown, who brings nearly 20 years of industrial real estate experience to the new entity. His firm concentrates on industrial properties in greater Long Beach and, over the past decade, McKeown has completed many of the area’s larger industrial transactions.

Macker
Coldwell Banker Commercial Westmac was founded by Timothy C. Macker and is a full service firm with over 30 professionals specializing in office, industrial, retail and multifamily properties. The firm has been the top producing affiliate worldwide for Coldwell Banker Commercial for the last three years.
“Becky and I both served on the board of the AIR Commercial Real Estate Association, and I have great respect for her dedication to her business and the community she serves," Macker said. "Her market—the greater Long Beach-South Bay area—neighbors our geographic area of concentration. It seems a natural extension for us to combine in order to achieve better coverage for existing clientele and jointly reach out to potential new customers. We both have a desire to grow our businesses, particularly in light of the recovery in the commercial real estate marketplace.”
Blair concluded by noting that Macker’s expertise “will take us to a new level with large office transactions in Long Beach. Concurrently, Westmac’s strong presence in their market will increase opportunities for Blair and John McKeown.”
