CHICAGO-Waterton Residential, an affiliate of Waterton Associates LLC, has purchased the 124 unsold units at Mondial River West, a 15-story condo building consisting of 141 units at 900 W. Huron St. The firm has bought the condos for nearly $31 million or about $250,000 per unit.
Citta Development LLC's Jack Berger, the developer of Mondial, was struggling to pay off a $38-million construction loan, and now the deal will allow the developer to get out of the debt-laden project.For the full story, go to Crain's Chicago Business.
