OAKLAND, CA-Foods Co., a grocery chain owned by the Kroger Co., will open three stores in the Oakland region. The chain will start construction of the first store in the Foothill Square Shopping Center in East Oakland in July 2011. The 72,000-square-foot store is slated for opening in the beginning of 2012.
Foods Co. will build the second store in West Oakland in 2012. It will construct the third store at San Leandro Street and 66th Avenue in 2013.For the full story, go to San Francisco Business Times.
