SIOUX FALLS, SD-Summit Hotel Properties, based here, has signed an agreement with Minneapolis-based AmericInn on the branding of five hotels. The properties, all formerly branded as Comfort Inn and Comfort Suites, are managed by Interstate Hotels & Resorts.
The hotels are in Salina, KS; Missoula, MT; Twin Falls, ID; Ft. Smith, AR; and Golden, CO. The properties will transfer over to AmericInn sites shortly, according to the company.
AmericInn is a mid-scale lodging chain with more than 250 locations open and in development in 31 states. The company is a division of Northcott Hospitality. The firm will be announcing more expansions and developments soon, according Paul Kirwin, president and CEO of AmericInn.
Dan Hansen, president and CEO of Summit, said in a statement that the decision to franchise with AmercInn was based on the strong value proposition of the brand, its scale and its commitment to growing RevPAR. Summit owns 66 hotels in 19 states.
