CENTURY CITY, CA-Investment bank Houlihan Lokey has signed a $60 million, long-term lease for 80,808 square feet at Constellation Place in one of the biggest office leases in this Westside submarket in the past three years, according to brokerage firm L.A. Realty Partners. Houlihan Lokey is scheduled to move its corporate headquarters to 10250 Constellation Blvd., formerly known as MGM Tower, on Nov. 1. It will occupy the entire fourth, fifth and sixth floors.
The investment banking firm will be moving from 1930 Century Park West, which the Westfield Group bought in recent years as part of its planned expansion of the Westfield Century City shopping center. Principal Hunt Barnett of L.A. Realty Partners, which is the leasing agent for Constellation Place and represented the building ownership in the lease, said the Westfield plans “provided an ideal opportunity for Houlihan Lokey to relocate to more modern offices that are reflective of its stature in the business community worldwide.” Houlihan Lokey co-CEO Scott Beiser said, in an announcement regarding the lease, “We searched far and wide for our new corporate headquarters and we found it right across the street.”
Beiser said that the move to Constellation Place will enable Houlihan Lokey, which also has another existing office on the Westside, to bring all of its Los Angeles-based offices under one roof again. “The rapid growth of our investment banking business has made this move long overdue,” he said.
The office tower, recently rebranded to its original name of Constellation Place, is a 35-story class A office tower that was completed in 2003 and is across the street from the Westfield Century City shopping center. Houlihan Lokey was represented in its lease by Jeff Mintz of Travers Realty Corp.
