AUBERVILLIERS, FRANCE-Icade and Klepierre have opened the $586 million Le Millenaire mixed-use project, which includes a 600,000-square-foot shopping center with 140 stores. The project, on 5 hectares along the Saint-Denis canal in this Paris suburb, also includes 180,000 square feet of office.
The partners have worked on the project for 10 years and financed the development equally, said Serge Gryzbowski, chairman and CEO of Icade. The site has a number of interesting architectural features, including a 108,000-square-foot glass roof, and a waterfront promenade.
The property is about 96 leased. Tenants include Claire’s, Morgan, Foot Locker, Jean Claude Aubry, H&M, Sephora, Toys R Us, Carrefour and the Body Shop. The retail section also includes a number of tenants new to France, such as Polinesia, Decimas and OVS.
