CHICAGO-New Era, the hat maker that provides the official on-field cap for Major League Baseball, has hired locally based Jameson Commercial to triple its store count in the next four years. The Buffalo, NY retailer has eight retail stores throughout the world right now, and looks to add another 30 throughout the United States in the next four years.

The company now has stores in Japan, England, Germany and Canada, as well as locations in Atlanta, New York City and Buffalo. The firm seeks to add new locations in markets such as Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, Vancouver and San Diego, says Will Crowden with Jameson. “The locations in Los Angeles and Chicago are coming soon,” he tells GlobeSt.com.

He says the stores, a mix of flagship, company and pop-up locations, will showcase the company’s line of headwear, apparel and accessories. “New Era is expanding its direct-to-consumer model by adding a limited amount of retail locations globally in an effort to elevate the consumer experience with the brand,” Crowden says.

Jameson was selected to perform the retailer’s local site work in Chicago, and through this relationship built a good relationship with the firm. “We have the ability and resources to handle everything from single store openings to large national rollouts, such as this one,” he says.
