NEW YORK CITY-Freddie Mac reported that the 30-year mortgage's average rate decreased to 4.61% in the latest week from the previous week value of 4.63%. The 15-year fixed loan's average rate fell from the previous week value of 3.82% to 3.80% in the latest week.

However, the five-year adjustable-rate loan's average rate increased to 3.48% in the latest week from the last week value of 3.41%. Similarly, one-year adjustable-rate mortgage's average rate rose from 3.11% to 3.15% in the latest week.For the full story, go to Chicago Sun Times.
