CHICAGO—Grubb & Ellis has lost its Chicago brokerage leader and apparently 12 brokers in its Windy City brokerage team to Cushman & Wakefield, GlobeSt.com has learned. Brokerage services president Shawn Mobley resigned last Friday, a spokesman for Grubb confirms, taking a handful of his team with him. Mobley was also in charge of brokerage nationally for Grubb.

But GlobeSt.com has learned that Grubb officials are questioning the actions surrounding the departure and legal papers are about to be filed.

The Grubb spokesman would not confirm any information beyond the loss of Mobley; and C&W’s spokesperson would not comment on either the suit or the personnel change. GlobeSt.com's calls to Mobley for comment were not returned as of Wednesday afternoon.
