EMERYVILLE, CA-Musical equipment retailer Guitar Center is planning to relocate to Emeryville. The retailer has leased 18,000 square feet in the Public Market complex at 5800 Shellmound St.

The store will occupy the former Borders space at the TMG Partners-owned complex. Guitar Center is planning to open the store for business sometime next spring. Patrick McGaughey and James Chung with Terranomics represented the tenant, while Craig Semmelmeyer with Main Street Properties represented the landlord in the lease deal.
