
MILWAUKEE-Oregon, Wisconsin-based Gorman & Co. Inc. is partnering with the city of Milwaukee to purchase and refurbish 20 foreclosed duplexes situated in the Sherman Park locality for $8 million. The company will pay $5,000 each for the city-owned properties.
After renovation, Gorman will rent the properties as apartments with asking rents ranging between $650 and $850 per month. The company is also planning to buy the Milwaukee Public Schools Jackie Robinson Middle School and turn it into a 68-unit senior-housing project.
