SAN DIEGO-The InterContinental Hotels Group has recently sold a boutique hotel in downtown San Diego. Chesapeake Lodging Trust, a real estate investment trust based in Maryland, purchased the 210-room Hotel Indigo for an amount of $55.5 million.

The InterContinental Hotels Group built the boutique hotel in 2009 using its capital. The hotel site is located at Island and Ninth avenues in the East Village. IHG's brands include Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts and Holiday Inn. For the full story, go to The San Diego Union Tribune .
