TUSTIN, CA-Irvine-based R.D. Olson Development has received approval to construct two hotels beside Edinger Avenue and the Costa Mesa (55) Freeway in Tustin. The city council approved a deal this month to sell three parcels totaling nearly 7.5 acres of city-owned property to Olson for $8.7 million.
Olson has plans to build Hilton Garden Inn, a 160-room hotel, and Hilton Homewood Suites, a 140-room hotel, at the site. The expected cost of the entire development is roughly $62 million. For the full story, go to Orange County Business Journal .
