EDISON, NJ-Hanssem America has acquired a 145,000-square-foot industrial warehouse at 20 Kilmer Road here from One Step Up Inc. for $6.75 million, says Colliers International New Jersey, its representative in the deal.
The building is located on 9.95 acres, with 8,000 sf of office space, according to its LoopNet listing. “It was important for Hanssem to have a building close to their core operations and the space at 20 Kilmer Road fit their needs perfectly,” says Joe Nitti, an executive managing director for Colliers. Greg Shalom of Team Resource, Inc. represented the seller.
Asking prices for other industrial buildings for sale in Edison range from $2.9 million for the 49,750-square-foot 9 Kilmer Court to $13.9 million for the 187,000-square-foot 2900 Woodbridge Avenue, according to LoopNet.
South Plainfield, NJ-based Hanssem is a manufacturer and retailer of kitchen and bathroom cabinets to the construction and remodeling market. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hanssem Co. Ltd., a publicly traded company with over 1100 employees, 300 kitchen showrooms, 200 interior showrooms and offices and showrooms in Japan, Korea and China.
