DALLAS-Amy Wolff Sorter has rejoined the staff of GlobeSt.com, effective Aug. 1. Sorter takes over the position of Southwest reporter from Jennifer Duell, who has left to pursue other opportunities.

“We’re thrilled that Amy agreed to return,” says Michael Desiato, ALM’s vice president and group publisher. “Amy’s professionalism, enthusiasm and experience helped us in the past and we’re pleased that the Southwest region will continue to be well represented.”

Sorter initially joined GlobeSt.com in 2005 and remained with the organization until early 2010, when she left for personal and professional reasons. During her close to five years with GlobeSt.com, Sorter wrote hundreds of articles covering topics as diverse as the meteoric real estate rise in Houston and Phoenix, RealShare conferences, the impact of the Great Recession on commercial real estate in the Southwest and real estate executives’ promotions. She also covered stories of related interest, such as how 2008’s Hurricane Ike impacted real estate operations in Houston, and the continuing recovery from Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. Sorter’s byline also appeared in Real Estate Media’s print publications, including Real Estate Forum.

“I’m delighted to be back with GlobeSt,” Sorter says. “It was a tough decision for me to leave and when I was asked to return, I hesitated for maybe one or two seconds. I’m looking forward to reconnecting with my many contacts in the Southwest, and reporting on real estate and business trends in the region.”

Sorter can be reached at 214-536-5457 or at [email protected]
